Joalane is passionate about philanthropy work and NGO; and has supported various NGO organisations in the past; and is keen to continue to do so
JOALANE NKOSI
I am a proud mother of three children. Born in Winburg, Free State, I later moved to Qwaqwa, where I completed my primary and high school education. I am the youngest of three children from my mother and part of a larger, extended family on my father's side.
Beyond my professional life, I am passionate about NGO work, tutoring in mathematics and physical sciences, and mentoring women in engineering. I am also an avid hiker, a certified yoga instructor, and have a keen interest in interior design and architecture. Traveling is another passion of mine, with Italy being a favorite destination.
My personal journey has been one of resilience and growth. I have shared my experiences with marriage and divorce on two podcasts—'Owamie – Hell and Back' and 'Unlock with Thando Maumela.' These platforms have allowed me to connect with others who have faced similar challenges and to offer support and encouragement.
Professional Journey:
My career began as a Field Engineer with Total Southern Africa, where I honed my technical skills across South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, and Swaziland. I then transitioned to BP, where I led the Project Management Office, implementing global technical standards and managing capital projects. My time at Shell saw me take on the role of Lead Engineer, overseeing depot operations and maintenance. In 2014, I took a leap into entrepreneurship, establishing PWY Consulting and ENGCO CZ SA, where I continue to provide top-tier engineering consultancy, logistics, and hospitality services.
